Chili and Beer diet

Well I can't prove it works... yet.

Here's my thought - since chili is allowed in South Beach Diet (even Phase I - the hard part) and it's one of my personal favorite foods, I should be able to lose weight by eating chili every day! Not every meal mind you - I'm usually eating grilled chicken or other lean protein and a salad for the other meal. Then if I snack it is very low carb or carb free stuff like nuts or a protein shake.

The thing is, I love beer. I love to brew it, bottle it, and especially drink it. I love to try new brewers and new styles. Any diet that says no beer is not a diet that's going to work for me. And of course, all diets say "NO ALCOHOL." Which I hate. So I'm going to try and make my own diet where beer is a central ingredient.

I'm starting of at 233 today, Feb. 3, 2010. I'll try and post up here how my chili and beer diet is working... of course I am also running 3x week and working out, so the exercise might help. At least I hope so!
